The Process: Employing a robust neighborhood engagement approach, Interface facilitated two public events that drew over 400 residents and families, conducted a neighborhood-wide bi-lingual survey, as well as interviews, focus groups, and ongoing communication with an advisory committee comprising neighborhood leaders, local partners, Law and Code Enforcement, other City departments, and LVTRise staff.
Results: The plan spurred a $3.5 million investment from the City for neighborhood improvements, including enhanced street lighting, street improvements and greening. Moreover, a recent partnership announcement between Cook Children’s Health Care System and JPS Health Network promises to deliver critical healthcare services to children and families in the Las Vegas Trail Neighborhood.
