A plan for Grand Rapids’ Downtown and Riverfront
GR Forward is the roadmap to guide change and investment in Downtown, the Grand River, and public education through efforts to reimagine Innovation Central High and a new Museum School. Grand Rapids is poised to become a resilient, waterfront city and an urban playground for all ages centered around a progressive and lively Downtown. Our branding for the project – GR Forward – set the tone to guide this ongoing transformation.
The process included insights and ideas from thousands of people resulting in strategies to promote new businesses and economic growth, encourage new development, transform streets, create new parks, and embrace the river as a broader effort to build a resilient downtown and city.
