Interface Studio

Continuing its long relationship with the Asociación de Puertorriqueños en Marcha For Everyone (APM), Interface Studio led the planning process to revitalize a stretch of eastern North Philadelphia.  For this initiative, APM has forged a partnership with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) to create a resident-driven quality of life plan that combines place-based initiatives with people-oriented ones.  The quality of life plan is the product of an extensive collaboration between residents, community leaders and organizations, and city agencies who worked together in monthly committee work sessions and focused roundtables. The process resulted in a community-supported vision for the community and prioritized action strategies that focus on: the physical environment; income and wealth; economic development; education, children and youth; leadership; healthy environments; arts and culture.  The quality of life plan supplements APM’s neighborhood plan completed by Scott Page in 1999 that established physical strategies for the future of the community.
