Cramer Hill NOW! Neighborhood Plan and Waterfront Park Plan

    Cramer Hill, Camden, NJ

You may have read about Cramer Hill in the papers several years ago, when neighbors rallied – and won – against a controversial plan for the area proposing a new golf course and high-end housing along the shore of the Cooper River, coupled with significant resident displacement (to the tune of 1,200 families). That plan, developed without community input, was abandoned and ultimately voided in court.

Cramer Hill’s residents and community leadership, together with the City of Camden and Cooper’s Ferry Development Association, have decided to unite once again – this time to engage in a resident-driven community planning process. Cramer Hill CDC hired Interface Studio and Lamar Wilson of Wilson Associates to lead the neighborhood planning process and work with residents to establish their priorities, expectations, and vision for reinvestment in the neighborhood and along its waterfront.
